Why I’m Rebranding: From Healing to Sharing My Spark

By Tiffany Scruggs, L.Ac.

In 2016, I was a newly licensed acupuncturist, just beginning to specialize in facial rejuvenation. I had a deep love for healing and decades of experience in fitness and wellness, but my clinical path was just taking shape. On the outside, I was stepping into my calling. But inside, a quiet storm was brewing. My nervous system was unraveling—and I didn’t yet have the tools to hold myself.

A life event dismantled the version of me I had built, and in its place, something deeper began to grow. The greater the love, the deeper the connection—the more devastating its loss can feel. But I’ve come to understand: that same depth of pain can become the very ground for transformation.

Discovering My Life Intention

In Zhineng Qigong, we call it the Life Intention—a guiding light, a beacon that shines regardless of whether the road feels smooth or stormy. Everything we experience, good or bad, becomes a lesson on the path toward that intention.

Even when I felt like I had nothing left, when I wanted to give up, I opened my heart and mind to something greater.

And in that surrender, I remembered something:

This was not happening to me—it was happening through me.

And then one day, it was crystal clear—this was the spark that lit up inside of me.

My Real Healing Began with Intention

I wasn’t trying to fix anything—I was learning to trust.

I wasn’t using effort—I was using intention.

My healing didn’t come from movement or breath. It came from a quiet decision to open my heart, shift my thoughts, and believe that something good was coming.

That was the energy medicine: the thoughts I chose, the trust I built, and the openness I allowed.

For three months, I returned to this practice—every day, often alone on the beach.

I let go of what I couldn’t control and aligned myself with something greater.

Becoming a Hunyuan Qi Therapist

This experience became the foundation for everything that followed. In 2017, I met Master Liu and began my formal study of Zhineng Qigong Science.

It gave me a language for what I was living. It showed me how thought, intention, energy, and openness are the medicine.

This marked the beginning of my work as a Certified Hunyuan Qi Therapist—and it forever shifted how I approach healing.

My Father’s Diagnosis — and Our Family’s Light

By 2019–2020, when my father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, I was no longer in collapse—I was rooted.

I showed up for him not in fear, but with clarity, calm, and hope.

And more than that, I was able to bring positivity and light to my whole family.

What guided me wasn’t a treatment protocol—it was love.

The love I had for my father, my mother, and our family became the compass.

Everything I had studied—fitness, movement, nutrition, Zhineng Qigong—came together without effort. I wasn’t applying a formula.

I was holding space. I was present. I was believing in possibility.

The Birth of the INTENT Framework™ and SPARK Method™

Out of this lived experience came the two guiding systems I now offer:

The INTENT Framework™

A modern lifestyle model rooted in ancient wisdom. It weaves together the foundational teachings of Zhineng Qigong Science with my lived practices—helping people navigate healing through:

Intention, Nourishment, Trust, Energy, Navigation, and Transformation.

INTENT is not a replacement for Zhineng Qigong—it’s a bridge between that wisdom and everyday life.

The SPARK Method™

A personally adaptive treatment model for in-session care. SPARK guides the rhythm of clinical support for Parkinson’s, beauty, and energy-based healing through:

Supportive Environment, Personally Adaptive Care, Active Movement, Restorative Therapies, and Kickstarting Daily Intention.

Working with Tom House: A Shared Vision for Parkinson’s Care

A powerful part of this new chapter is my partnership with Tom House—legendary MLB pitcher, renowned pitching coach, and a man who has been living fully with Parkinson’s for over 18 years.

Tom holds a PhD in Sports Psychology and a Master’s in Nutrition. Over his career, he’s coached elite athletes while managing his own condition with tools grounded in biomechanics, belief, and breath.

Together, we’ve merged our knowledge—his athletic training and mindset mastery, and my clinical, energetic, and personally adaptive care.

We share one vision:

To empower those with Parkinson’s to move better, feel stronger, and live with hope.

Closing Invitation

Healing isn’t something we chase—it’s something we remember.

It begins when we trust.

It deepens when we shift our thoughts.

And it expands when we say yes to ourselves.

This is my story. This is my transformation.

This is the spark that guides everything I now share.

With love and clarity,
